Common Conditions in All Ages
Below is a gallery of orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMDs) and conditions/symptoms that affect all ages. OMDs may cause other pathological conditions and should be corrected as early as possible (some even occur in utero). Most pathological conditions and disorders exist on a spectrum, and OMDs only worsen with time and become more pronounced. Failure to correct orofacial myofunctional disorders can lead to poor health and misguided growth of teeth, jaws, airway, craniospinal posture, breathing, peripheral pain, gastrointestinal discomfort, skeletal deformities, speech misarticulations and failure to thrive in children. OMDs worsen over time, often negatively impacting and significantly lower one’s self esteem and ability to thrive.
“There are almost none of these damages that can’t be remediated with the proper time and energy”
